The book by Rhonda Byrne titled “The Magic” is a great book for sustaining positive relationships as well as mending broken ones. This book gives great perspective into how important relationships are in peoples lives. If one could take away all of the people on the planet and ship them off to mars what would be the purpose of anything here on planet earth. People paint pictures, make music, build buildings, and organize sports games all for the sake of entertaining and interacting with others. Think about it, why do we really do the things we do?
The love received from others, no matter how intense, is the cause of most joy and happiness in the world. Because relationships play such a huge part on ones state of mind, it seems imperative to remember how important the people around a person are and to not take them for granted. This book helps people do just that! By showing gratitude and by constantly finding the positives within another, one can sustain healthy long lasting relationships whether it be with a friend, a family member, or a significant other. This book is great for everybody because it is simple and revolves around the art of gratitude. It will change your life if you read it, I promise.

These quotes written above are found in the book titled “The Way Of The Peaceful Warrior” written by Dan Millman. It’s a great book based on a true story that clearly illustrates how a person can find peace, happiness, and enlightenment. I only say that because my personal experience as a 17 year old reading this book really challenged my perspective of reality. I became less self centered and started viewing life more as a gift rather than something to dominate. The three quotes above really stuck with me over the years and have been friendly reminders to work hard but at the same time not take things too seriously. I encourage anybody of all ages to dive into this book, it’s impossible to come away from it feeling negative. The Way of the Peaceful Warrior is a purely positive novel.

What’s the first thing you think of when you hear the word “alien”? Real, fake, tiny green men, E.T.? For some people, they don’t see how aliens could possibly exist. For others, like myself, I don’t see how they could NOT exist. What is MS? Multiple sclerosis (MS), also known as “disseminated sclerosis” or “encephalomyelitis disseminata”, is an inflammatory disease in which the fatty myelin sheaths around the axons of the brain and spinal cord are damaged, leading to demyelination and scarring as well as a broad spectrum of signs and symptoms. Disease onset usually occurs in young adults, and it is more common in women.

Of course, all aspects of a diet filled with rich foods can cause problems, but animal fats—especially those from dairy products—have been the most closely linked to the development of MS. One theory suggests that feeding cow’s milk to infants lays the foundation for nervous system injury later in life. Cow’s milk has only one-fifth as much linoleic acid (an essential fatty acid) as human breast milk. Linoleic acid makes up the building blocks for nervous tissues. It may be that children raised on a high animal-fat diet deficient in linoleic acid (as most children are in our society) develop a weaker nervous system that is susceptible to problems as they age. Analysis of brain tissues has shown that people with MS have a higher saturated fat content in their brains than people without the disease.

For example, during World War II, food was scarce and stress was high in occupied Western Europe. People could no longer afford to eat meat, so they turned instead to the grains and vegetables that once nourished their cows, chickens, and pigs. The result was a dramatic reduction in the intake of animal products and of total fat in the diet. Doctors observed that patients with MS had 2 to 2-1/2 times fewer hospitalizations during the war years.

A great way to start eating healthier is to “veganize” your foods. I.E. if a recipe calls for butter, use Earth Balance non-dairy butters. Same with milk, use soy, almond, or rice milk.

There’s a lot of controversy about marijuana, medical or otherwise. With it legal in 16 states (and D.C.), and movies like “Pineapple Express”, it’s becoming more and more excepted into society. With President Obama going back on his word to leave the dispensaries alone, Barney Frank and other people calling him out on it, and the election coming up, it’s definitely a hot topic. People use marijuana for chronic pain that stems from cancer, ms, paralyzation or any other debilitating sickness, or just to experience life differently for a short period of time. Wether you smoke it or not, I think you will find the video below interesting.

Meditation is a great way for a person to stay clear and centered. Eckhart Tolle really reveals that meditation is more about what a person is not doing, rather than what they are doing. I especially like the part in the video roughly 5 minutes in where Eckhart says, “lets pretend for now that past and future don’t exist”. I really enjoy this quote because whether a person is a believer in the illusion of time or not, it logically approaches the fact that the past and future only exist in the human mind. Only the “now” matters; no being can ever exist in the past or future because our life experiences only occur in the present moment. Ultimately the reason why I wanted to share this video is because my personal experience of staying aware in the present moment has brought me acceptance of life’s challenges and true happiness. I encourage anybody who has the slightest interest in meditation or spirituality to dive into it! Stay aware of the moment!

We recently released “Don’t Tread On Trayvon Martin”. The song proposes a simple yet important question in America, that is – Where are we as a society in 2012? In our view, the events of Trayvon’s death have left his family, friends, all African Americans and every other freethinking person of every race to ponder whether or not the “Stand Your Ground” law is a vehicle for allowing bigotry to be used to permit murder. In essence, would Trayvon’s killer be in jail to await the courts decision on the matter if the killer was a minority of color and the victim was a white person?

We believe justice is not served here in the Trayvon killing based solely on how extremely biased our current American Legal Justice System already is against African American young men and how Zimmerman’s story just does not check out on any rational level.

People with all different agendas want to debate this subject like crazy and in America we can however the facts are undeniable. If this were a Black Suspect and a White Victim, the Suspect would most likely be in Jail right now waiting for the court to decide whether or not he were allowed to commit this act legally and whether he acted in self defense.

T.O.E. bases its entire opinion, song and video on the fact that Zimmerman has not provided a shred of evidence that his self-defense claim is real. Everything he has said to explain his actions run contrary to his own assertions. The evidence of the 911 call Zimmerman made and the lack of any scratch on the man indicate to us that he did quite simply stalk Trayvon and use the existing law to commit murder. You decide.
